So you know how most second books tend to be fillers or mediocre compared to the great start of a first in a series? This is SO not the case here! A Million Suns was such a great read, I'm still in shock from everything my brain has just absorbed. The Across the Universe series just keeps getting better and I honestly don't know what I am going to do while I'm waiting for the last book to be released (mind you it's going to be almost a year!). Ultimately, this was an amazing follow-up to Across the Universe.

A Million Suns takes place three months after the end of the first book. We still have many, many more secrets, lies and mysteries to unravel aboard Godspeed. This book had me on the edge my seat, squirming about in nervousness and I think my eyes my have been bulging just a bit at some points. I know there were times I even gasped aloud in surprise/shock.

Yeah, it was that good.

If you enjoyed Across the Universe, you will definitely enjoy this. I feel like I can't rave enough about this trilogy and the last book is even close to being out yet (unfortunately). So, with that said -- go get this now!!

Lexington 'Lex' Bartleby is a sixteen year old trouble maker. To get her to change her ways, they send her off to her Uncle Mort's for the summer. Lex's Uncle Mort lives in upstate New York -- on a farm. She is absolutely dreading the trip and the idea of working on a farm. This is, of course, until she discovers what her Uncle Mort really does. He is a Grim Reaper.

This wasn't too bad. A lot of things were a bit predictable but some things were unexpected.

I think it started off pretty well. It was laugh-out-loud funny and I loved the idea of this one. However, Lex truly is a ticking time bomb. She has a horrible temper and attitude (even if her sarcasm is hilarious) and she seemingly has no reason for it. At times I found myself thinking - is that really even necessary!?

Overall the characters were decent. They weren't perfect by any means but they weren't all out horrible either. I liked Uncle Mort and Driggs, who were also pretty funny.

It did end with a big fat cliffhanger as to set you up for the next in the series. With this series, I could take it or leave it. I am sort of on the fence about because I really do want to know how things turn out, but at the same time I'm not so sure since I found myself getting distracted from it easily.

Q: What would your prefer: reading your favorite book over and over again until you got sick of it OR reading 100s of mediocre books? And why?

That is a bit of a hard one for me to answer. I have my favorites, which I could read again and again, but there is also nothing like cracking open a new book for the first time, which if I read the same one over and over, I would miss.

Cover Crazy - 2/9

In this follow-up to Anna Dressed in Blood, Cas begins seeing Anna everywhere: sometimes when he’s asleep, and sometimes in waking nightmares. But something is very wrong. These aren’t just daydreams. Anna seems tortured, torn apart in new and ever more gruesome ways every time she appears.

Cas doesn’t know what happened to Anna when she disappeared into Hell, but he knows she doesn’t deserve whatever is happening to her now. Anna saved Cas more than once, and it’s time for him to return the favor..

This one is just wicked awesome! I loved Anna Dressed in Blood and I can't wait for this one to come out. On this cover though, Anna looks a lot less frightening and has more of a 'help me' look. I'm definitely curious as to where she is at and by the looks of the cover, she's in some kind of hell-like place. So now I'm wondering where is she exactly and if Cas be able to find and save her.
