April 2012 Recap

Tuesday, May 1, 2012
Shame on me again.  That's the second month I haven't gotten anything done in the book world.  I want to really try to get my focus together again and get some books read!

March 2012 Recap

Sunday, April 1, 2012

I am sad to say I did not get any reading done in March. It has been a chaotic month for me and usually I read to relax and such but I just haven't had the energy. So, with Spring here and a new month starting (can't believe it's April already!) I am getting back to my books. This year I am determined to complete my challenges, well the 100+ challenge anyway.

February 2012 Recap

Wednesday, February 29, 2012

So here is another month that has just flown by. I don't know about you, but there is a nasty bug going around and my whole house has had it... some of us twice! Unfortunately it has slowed down my blogging the past few days, but I'm finally starting to get rid of it I think, thank goodness!

I didn't do too badly with getting my books in for the month and I have completed 25 for the year so far for my 100+ goal. I am hoping to squeeze in 20 this month, if I can find the time.

Books I'm dying to read in March:

Illuminate - Aimee Agresti
Dark Eyes - William Richter
A Temptation of Angels - Michelle Zink

September Recap

Tuesday, October 4, 2011

October is finally here! This is always my favorite time of year. The weather is finally cooling off, the leaves start changing (here in South Carolina anyway) and Halloween is close by. I love to take my son trick-or-treating.

So, I know September was a horrible month for me reading-wise. I didn't get no where near as much reading done as I had planned. Things came up, life happens sometimes. :) I am hoping this month will be better for me in the book departmfent.

Books Read in September:

The Iron Thorn - Caitlin Kittredge
Unearthly - Cynthia Hand
Bad Taste in Boys - Carrie Harris
Beauty Queens - Libba Bray

Yeah... I read a whole four books last month... I am hanging my head in shame.

I do want to try to read more this month! I hope everyone has a great week!

August Recap

Thursday, September 1, 2011

I am shocked at how fast August went by! I am super excited for fall though. Over here where I am, the humidity and the heat is crazy. I am definitely not a hot weather person. So, with fall coming, I thought I would add a nice picture of what I am looking forward too. ;)

With that said, this has been one crazy summer! First, I would like to thank Parajunkee (Parajunkee's View) for featuring me on Follow Friday again and thanks to all my new followers!

So, my fall goals are to increase the number of books I read so I can reach my 2011 reading goal. I lost out on a few months, since I started in May. So far I have read 41 books, so I am 9 away from the halfway point.

Books Read in August:

The Magnolia League - Katie Crouch 5/5
The Summoning - Kelley Armstrong 4/5
The Iron Daughter - Julie Kagawa - 5/5
Life As We Knew It - Susan Beth Pfeffer 4/5
The Dead and the Gone - Susan Beth Pfeffer 3/5
This World We Live In - Susan Beth Pfeffer 4/5
Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side - Beth Fantaskey 4/5
Mockingjay - Suzanne Collins 5/5
Delirium - Lauren Oliver 5/5
Matched - Ally Condie 4/5
Ashfall - Mike Mullin 4/5
Divergent - Veronica Roth 5/5

I have to say that I have read some really awesome books I don't think you should miss! As you see, I linked up the titles so you can see the review for them easily instead of having to search. :) I read 12 books in August and I am hoping to bump that up to 20 books in September. I am hoping to squeeze in 8 books more this month than I had in August.

I have also come to love dystopian novels so much (as you can see, I have been reading a good bit of those). I'm thinking I might have a new favorite genre......
